Vastu Shastra is a Vedic science It deals with the land, buildings and anything on earth. Nowadays we are only concerned with the land or buildings, we see only this side of Vastu Shastra we do not see the spiritual & astrological side of it.

Today the architectural science has grown up, we claim that structurally we have reached on top. We have designed & constructed various styles of buildings with all modern facilities but one thing we have ignored its compatibility with its residents and vibrations in the premises.

In vastu much importance is given to vibrations. It is a science that explains difference between the pleasant and depressing frequencies generated in premises. Let us first understand how these frequencies are created.

Vastu shastra says that before starting any construction we should first check the plot and its soil. The selection of the plot is very important. There are various types of lands; each type of building needs a specific type of land.  We should not construct a residential building on a land that is specified for commercial activities. For specific purpose a specific vibrations are needed.

The shape of the plot is an important factor, shapes generate vibrations. This vibration can be positive or negative. Depending upon our requirement we have to select the shape of the plot. The square and rectangular with all the angles in 90% are good for residential constructions. The positive energy or vibrations prevail in such type of shape. Triangular or a plot at the “T” junction of roads is not suitable for residential purpose, these shape collect negative energies.

The open space left in your plot after construction also plays a very important role in attracting positive or negative vibrations. If the open space on East and North is more than West and South it will attract positive vibrations.

The location and surroundings also play a great role in creating vibrations. A house built in front or next to a cemetery or crematory will have negative vibrations. In contrast to this a house near river or lake will have positive vibration. In front on the East or North of your house there is a river flowing or a lake facing on your eastern side will bring positive vibrations. The material used for construction of your house is also important factor for vibration. Too much of metal used in a house will increase the negative vibration. Stone and mud have greater potential to attract positive vibration.

The interior of your house also plays an important factor for positive or negative vibrations. The furniture, interior decoration, household articles, indoor plants and placement of rooms increases or decreases the vibrations.

The main door, placement of kitchen and toilet are important sources for creating positive or negative vibrations. These vibrations can be checked by the behaviour of the residents. If there is harmony among the members, the positive vibration is prevailing in that house. If the people of any house keep on fighting or insulting each other then please check the vibrations in your house.
